XM's new steel motor mount brackets for 1J and 2J swaps are designed to put that Toyota motor in to your S chassis (S13) with as little hassle as possible and work with both standard JZ blocks and VVTi. We've made these mount brackets with a slot for the motor mount point that allows total movement of the engine, about 1 1/2", making trans cross member alignment easier as well as fitment of twin turbos or a single. CNC cut from 1/4" steel plate, formed, gusseted and plated, these engine brackets will handle all the punishment you can throw at them and last a life time doing it.
The JZ oil pan will typically sit even with the bottom of the front cross member and the engine will have 1/2" to 1" clearance to the firewall. If you're concerned with your pan sitting to low, our front skid plate will protect it nicely. Different brand motor mounts (rubber mounts) may sit higher or lower then XM urethane mounts. (N-S-UMM)
Stock rubber motor mounts will require the index pin to be ground off to allow these brackets to properly sit flat due to the application of the slotted mount. XM Urethane motor mounts for the S chassis are a direct fit with no modifications and will easily handle the punishment of the heavier, higher powered JZ platform.
